A verruca (or plantar wart) is a contagious viral skin growth on the sole of the foot, caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV), thriving in damp places like pools, appearing rough with black dots (clotted vessels).

At Torbay Podiatry we are trained in the use of Verrutop, a professionals-only system which involves debriding the top level of skin before before applying specialist treatment. This typically takes around 2 to 3 sessions, with very good results.
